Mid 20s Crisis: Muriel runs a Marathon
When I moved to New York and started sharing the same love for running and races as my mom, a goal I never thought I'd reach was set: to run the New York Marathon. So, when the opportunity to fulfill that dream, while raising awareness for Women's health arose, It was a no-brainer.
In 2025, I am running and fundraising for The Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF) to support their efforts in promoting bone strength and preventing osteoporosis thought education, advocacy, and research.
Despite being a preventable disease, approx. 50% of women over the age of 50 will face bone fractures due to osteoporosis. My grandma is one of those women, and I have watched this disease compromise her ability to function and redefine the activity of her life.
I am running the New York Marathon as a testimonial to her affliction and as symbol to all woman to take control of our health at an early age, so that we have the power and knowledge to live healthier!
If you want to make an impact, donate to my BHOF charity page and join me in advocating for women’s health. Any small amount helps if we all work together.
And if my powerful message hasn’t swayed you, remember– its a tax write off!
